Happy Thanksgiving
Well, at least for those of us in the US. To the rest of the world, Happy Thursday! Hopefully everyone has the chance to be with the ones they love this holiday. I’ll be visiting two different groups of family this afternoon, enjoying the Turkey while people rest up for the big shopping tomorrow.
While I have long refused to participate in the insane shopping frenzy in person (because fighting thousands of people for parking spots, items on sale, or even just space to walk sounds like fun, eh?) this year I think I’ll do a little on-line holiday shopping. It seems like almost every online retailer has adopted specials like their brick and mortar counter parts. Apparently Site5 isn’t immune to the insanity either (rumor is we are running a pretty crazy special tomorrow). I think the plan at this point is for Kevin to make one of his unique breed of blog posts with the details later today.
His last post made a reference to a movie that I’ve always liked (however, a lot of people seem to disagree) Antitrust. It isn’t that it was the best cinematic masterpiece made in the last 50 years or anything, but I’ve always had an affection for geek-ish movies. Tim Robbins offers a solid performance as Bill.. err Gary Winston and it has a cameo from Miguel de Icaza (of GNOME and Ximian/Novell fame).
Anyway, now that I have sufficiently gotten off track, I am off to enjoy the feast already cooking downstairs! A special thanks to the Site5 team in Canada, Australia, and Europe for covering the shifts today so that the US-based crew can enjoy the holiday with family.
